People locally are being encouraged to make at least one lifestyle change that could help their health and wellbeing.

Social media is the means in which Northants County Council are getting "A Change Would Do You Good" out to the public.

Subjects they are covering include high cholesterol, high blood glucose levels, mental health problems and poor air quality.

In January changes will be shared online with people invited to make the change during February and report on their progress in March.

Meanwhile GPs in Corby are urging people to set "realistic" goals when it comes to addressing their health and wellbeing in this New Year.

They are promoting the NHS Couch to 5k app plus the Corby Health Walks that are free to attend - plus the Corby Parkrun that takes place every Saturday morning

The website of NHS Corby CCG is holding more details and advice.
