The future of Urgent Care Services in Corby still isn't clear after a meeting held in the Corby Cube.

Around sixty members of the public were able to hear the meeting called by the NHS Corby Clinical Commissioning Group's Governing Body.

Their first conclusion was to still work with the time left to try and secure a twelve month contract to run the centre from the end of September.

If that fails the option open is to close the centre but add services that cover the areas under the most pressure  - and to continue a dialogue with the public and stakeholders.

MP for Corby Tom Pursglove said that the town must have an Urgent Care provision - and he would continue to fight for fairer funding.

The "Save our UCC" group handed in a petition to NHS Corby CCG at the end of the meeting that contained thousands of signatures.
