Corby's at-risk patients are being urged to get the flu jab by local GP's.
A series of Saturday morning clinics to dispense the vaccine will continue through to the end of October.
In their appeal for people to take up the service, GPs have said that the flu vaccine cannot give you the flu, and that certain groups need the protection against what can be a serious illness.
The immediate groups who qualify are those aged 65 years or over, live in a residential or nursing home, have a learning disability, live with someone who is immuno-compromised, are the main carer of an older or disabled person or who are are pregnant.
Children will be getting the vaccine either as a nasal spray at their GP surgery or at school depending on their school year.
Lakeside Healthcare, The Studfall Partnership, Woodsend Medical Centre and Great Oakley Centre are the main surgeries who are offering the clinics through an appointment system.
