A part of Corby's Cottingham Road is due to be closed to traffic from today ( Jan 19 ) - as a railway bridge that forms part of the road is being re-constructed.

Network Rail are delivering an electrification project to the rail line that serves Corby.

As a result pedestrian access is set to be made available over the line but vehicles will have to find another route- with Network Rail saying diversions will be clearly posted.

The work is due to take months and the restriction could last until August.
